Our vibrant congregation is a warm and friendly, multi-generational extended family. We are an egalitarian Conservative Synagogue dedicated to the religious, cultural, educational & social aspirations of our members. 

The Nanuet Hebrew Center, conveniently located just off exit 10 of the Palisades Parkway in New City, NY, has served Greater Rockland County for well over 70 years.  We are actively affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and the Jewish Federation of Rockland County, and are open and welcoming to interfaith families and the LGBTQ community.

With programs ranging from our Tot Shabbat to ATID and Adult Education, there is always something for you at the Nanuet Hebrew Center.  Our Religious school starts with Kindergarten and has an innovative curriculum through Bar and Bat Mitzvah age.  Our rapidly growing Kadima and USY groups for grades 6-12 are filled with exciting social, educational and religious programming.  We have an active Sisterhood and Men’s Club with Sunday breakfasts, book discussion group, annual Israel birthday party, and Havdallah (as well as “Hav-Deli”, “Hav-Dairy” and even “Hunan Havdallah”) gatherings.  Add to that our annual Arts Festival, Purim carnival, lunchtime Torah classes, Hebrew, Torah and Haftorah reading classes, Shabbat lunch & learns, Community Passover Seder, December 24th Winter Vacation Party, Family Fun Nights, Shabbat dinners, community Yizkor, coffee houses and social events for all ages, and of course our weeknight Minyans and Shabbat and Holiday Services, and you can see why the Nanuet Hebrew Center is a resource for the entire Rockland Jewish Community.

 Please join us for the annual Celebrate Israel Parade in NYC on Sunday June 2, 2013. 

Buses leave Rockland JCC Campus at 12:30pm, and our march time is approximately 2:00pm – 2:30pm.  Everyone signed up through the Nanuet Hebrew Center is invited back to NHC after the parade for our annual post parade BBQ sponsored by the Men’s Club!
